Hello Phelan Families,

 

I want to inform you that together with Phelan, Whittier City School District (WCSD) will be sponsoring an attendance challenge. The Attendance Challenge will begin on Monday, January 28th and will end on Friday, March 22nd. The goal is to increase our attendance and thus increase the learning opportunities for each of our students. There will be weekly incentives as well as a culminating incentive. The culminating incentive will be the Attendance Challenge Dance on April 4th.

 

Please support us in our efforts to increase attendance and in turn increase our students’ achievements. With this in mind, I kindly ask that you schedule any doctor and dentist appointments after school so that your child receives the full benefit of the allotted instructional minutes during the school day. Quiero informarles que junto con Phelan, el Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Whittier (WCSD) patrocinará un Reto de asistencia. El desafío de asistencia comenzará el lunes 28 de enero y terminará el viernes 22 de marzo. El objetivo es aumentar nuestra asistencia y, por lo tanto, aumentar las oportunidades de aprendizaje para cada uno de nuestros estudiantes. Habrá incentivos semanales, así como un incentivo culminante. El incentivo culminante será el baile de desafío de asistencia el 4 de abril.

 

Por favor, ayúdenos en nuestros esfuerzos para aumentar la asistencia y, a su vez, aumentar los logros de nuestros estudiantes. Con esto en mente, le pido que programe cualquier cita con el médico y el dentista después de la escuela para que su hijo reciba el beneficio completo de los minutos de instrucción asignados durante el día escolar.
